The Lady Warriors played the Sheldon Panthers on Tuesday in game 2 of their 3-game week. They are coming off a close and competitive game against Lockwood which they ultimately lost. The girls were hoping to stop their short losing streak but Sheldon defeated McAuley by a score of 37-22.
The girls started off slowly against Sheldon and went into the second half down 12 but battled back in the 3rd quarter to bring it within 1. They eventually ran out of gas and Sheldon ended the game on a 13-2 run. The Lady Warriors were led by Junior PG Kloee Williamson who had 7 points and 3 steals. They also received solid contributions from Freshman guard Brooke Righter who had 6 points and Senior Forward Lily Black who had 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. 
The Warriors drop to 1-11 on the season but are steadily improving and will be ready to play their best basketball at the end of the season. They play the Wyandotte Bears on Thursday night.
