On Monday, January 1st the St. Peters boys basketball team opened up their season at home against the East Newton Patriots. It was a back and forth battle through the first two quarters with the Patriots holding a slim lead at halftime 12-11. The Patriots put the clamps on defense in the 2nd half holding the home team scoreless in the final two quarters. The final score was 22-11 in East Newton's favor. The leading scorer for St. Peters was
Thomas Perrin with four points. The B team also came up short with the final score being 32-8.
The Warriors look to improve upon their 0-1 record when they travel to Springfield Lutheran on Jan. 6th.
