The McAuley Boys basketball team opened their season at home against the Liberal Bulldogs. The two teams have opened their seasons facing each other for over a decade. The McAuley Boys were hoping to get their season off to a quick start but sadly fell to Liberal by a score of 57-47. McAuley got off to a good start hitting two early 3-point shots, but liberal fired back taking a 30-23 lead into halftime. McAuley was unable to chip back into the liberal lead as they never got within 6 points for the rest of the game. McAuley was led by
Michael Parrigon's 13 points who paired with Noah Black who had 10. The McAuley Boys will head to Diamond after Thanksgiving break to play Thomas Jefferson in the Gem City Classic Tournament. They will hope to improve on their early 0-1 record.
