The Middle School Girls Basketball Team had their home opener spoiled on Thursday Night as they suffered their first loss against the Avilla Panthers by a score of 23-16. The Lady Warriors had a hard time containing Avilla's top scorer Maddie Leivan as she scored 10 points and hit two crucial free throws late in the game. Isabella Gilligan who had 8 points and Julie Harrison who had 6. St. Peter's, now 1-1, hope to get back above .500 on Friday night against their in-town rivals, College Heights Cougars. The game will be played at College Heights Athletic Facility.
